Summer Jobs and Cultural Exchange Visas

The summer season on Cape Cod and the Islands has begun and with it comes an increase in seasonal workers, many of whom come from other countries on visas. We talk about the differences between the H2B visas and the J-1 student visas, how immigration reform efforts underway in congress may impact seasonal workers, and how area non-profits are enriching the cultural experience of the J-1 students. Guests: Matthew Lee, Immigration Attorney and former Assistant District Counsel for the United States Department of Justice, Immigration & Naturalization Service; Penny Noll, Program Director at the Lower Cape J-1 Summer Host Housing Program; and Anna Poplasky, founder of the group Cape Cod Summer Citizens.
