Moby Dick Marathon on Nantucket, & more: Best Bets for the Weekend

Who says there's not much to do in the winter? This weekend brings a whaleboat-load of activities to choose from  - and here's a sampling. The White Whale makes an appearance on Nantucket, as the island hosts its annual Moby Dick marathon reading. In Falmouth, the John Wesley United Methodist Church will host an Old Time Gospel Night on Friday at 7:30: get out and sing! The Falmouth TheatreGuild has a new production, The 39 Steps; it’s a comedy they're billing as "Alfred Hitchcock meets Monty Python." And looking ahead, students at Sturgis Charter School will be performing one-act plays at theCotuitCenter for the Arts, and looking for audience feedback, as they prepare for a state competition.

Steve is Managing Editor of News. He came to WCAI in 2007. He also hosts the weekly News Roundup on Friday mornings and produces The Fishing News.
