Mastering the Craft of Writing through Acting

Matthew Arkin

Writers learn their craft in many ways.  Matthew Arkin honed his writing skills through acting.  Arkin grew up surrounded by theater.  His father Alan, and brothers Adam and Tony, are all successful actors.  Matthew has performed on Broadway, and now does T-V and regional theater, including here on Cape Cod.  But he says it was his acting background that gave him the skills to write his first novel, a page-turner suspense story entitled In the Country of the Blind.

Arkin spoke to WCAI's Dan Tritle.
