Living with Schizophrenia

J.J.

On The Point, an interview with Ben Boone, who was diagnosed with schizophrenia. He’s written a book about his experiences entitled Minority of Mind. The book details the author's descent into darkness as a young man, and the daily struggles to perform as a person, rather than a manifestation of his illness. It addresses how society treats those with serious psychiatric disorders and challenges our definition of "madness". In the studio, Psychologist Michael Abruzzese and Psychiatrist Marc Whaley join Mindy Todd to talk about the complex challenges faced by people with schizophrenia.
