How Animal Therapy Helps Special Needs Students

J.J.

Animal assisted therapy can help people cope with a variety of health problems. On The Point, Mindy Todd visits the Latham Center’s asinotherapy program where students with Prader-Willi Syndrome are working with miniature donkeys. Joining us in the studio to discuss animal therapy and educational approaches used in special needs schools are Anne McManus, CEO of the Latham Centers on Cape Cod,  and Larry Sauer, President of the board of MAAPS (Massachusetts Association of 766 Approved Private Schools) and Vice President of Cardinal Cushing Centers in Hanover and Braintree.
