The annual Nantucket history-and-trivia event is returning to the Whaling Museum on Nantucket. This is the sixth year for the event. Held at the Whaling Museum, the trivia competition pits team against team on their march to be crowned the historical knowledge champion. This year, all questions will be derived from acclaimed and award-winning island author, Nat Philbrick's book, In the Heart of the Sea. All teams are encouraged to study the novel in advance of the competition. The book is also the basis for an up-coming Hollywood release, directed by Ron Howard. All teams must register in advance of the event, and applications can be found at the Nantucket Historical Association web site. Attendance at the competition, which takes place in front of a live and lively audience, is free of charge. WCAI's Mindy Todd will deliver the questions and help to host the event, and several WCAI staff members will also compete on a team, at the event.
