The Red Nun

Join us at the Red Nun, a neighborhood pub on Main Street in Dennis Port village. Come check it — and us — out during one of our popular Pub Nights there. Our host will provide a cash bar and appetizers, WCAI and you provide the mingling and socializing. Pub Nights are always free and open to the public, so make February more fun by gathering with WCAI staff, hosts, and other listeners at the Red Nun on Wednesday, February 10th. Mass Audubon's Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary
Presents Sea Change Environmental Film Series
Moderated by WCAI Hosts 

Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theatre, Julie Harris Stage, Wellfleet

Mindy Todd, Sean Corcoran, and Heather Goldstone will each moderate one in a series of documentary screenings and panel discussions in which regional and local experts and scientists will discuss the films’ topics and respond to questions.

Saturday, February 13, 7 PMBat City USA — follows the story of a bat “infested” bridge in Austin, Texas which, after much debate and pain, went from scourge to popular tourist site. Moderator: Mindy Todd, WCAI Managing Director of Editorial; Host and Executive Producer of "The Point"

Saturday, February 27, 7 PMFlight of the Butterflies — examines the search for the monarch butterfly’s overwintering spot. Landscape and gardening tips to benefit monarchs and other pollinators will also be discussed. Moderator: Sean Corcoran, WCAI News Director

Saturday, April 9, 7 PMAcid Ocean/Lethal Seas — is a film about the impact of the world’s increasingly acidic oceans on marine life. Moderator: Heather Goldstone, WCAI Science Editor; Host of “Living Lab”

Get ready for a good time on island, at Pub Night at Rockfish Pizza in Edgartown. Our Pub Nights are always free and open to the public, so make a date to join WCAI staff and other listeners for a fun evening of conversation and public radio, Thursday, March 10th at Rockfish, for our Martha's Vineyard Pub Night. As always, we'll have a raffle table, and our host will provide appetizers, and a cash bar.

Falmouth Figure Skating Club's Annual Ice Frolics
WCAI is a proud sponsor of the Falmouth Figure Skating Club and once again our hosts will MC their annual Ice Frolics skating show. So grab your gloves and head to Falmouth's Technology Park Drive to watch local skating talent at the club's special 50th anniversary show.

Join us in March for Pub Night at the family-owned Nantucket. This historic, down-town, year-round hotel was built in 1891 and completely renovated in 2012. Wednesday, March 16th is your chance to mix and mingle with WCAI staff and fellow listeners while you enjoy appetizers and a cash bar provided by our island host. 

Pub Nights are always free and open to the public, so grab a friend or two and get ready to have some fun with WCAI at the Nantucket Hotel!
