Readers on Nantucket and beyond will take part in the 3-day Nantucket Book Festival. Many events are free to the public. Guests are encouraged to check the schedule however, as some events do require ticket purchase.  A complete schedule of events is available here. Venues range from the Atheneum to the NHA Whaling Museum and the event is wonderful for all ages. WCAI is proud to sponsor the event and will be on-site in the book tent.  Noted authors Jodi Picoult, Ishmael Beah, Anita Diamant, and Nathaniel Philbrick are among the prestigious list of presenting authors. The Nantucket Book Festival is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization.

Award-winning novelists, documentary theatre readings, poetry, song, and everything between – will receive equal billing at the Hawthorne Barn this summer. The range of topics and talent in the Twenty Summer’s line-up is extraordinary. Twenty Summers is a nonprofit dedicated to bringing art and artists closer to the public and celebrating Provincetown’s unique legacy in the art world. 

WCAI has partnered with Twenty Summers and will be on-site to introduce, record, and rebroadcast: “No Passport Needed: Canada to California, Paris to Provincetown. . .with Tour Guides Michael Cunningham and Adam Gopnik.” The live event will be held Sunday, May 24th 2015.

Listen for the rebroadcast during, The Point on May 28th at 9 am and again at 7 pm.
