Yes, It's Winter, and Yes, You May Ignore It Happily: Best Bets for the Weekend

Steve Heaslip / Cape Cod Times

We’ve had a relatively mild winter, but there are still a few events this weekend geared toward ignoring the cold weather.

The first one is about getting out on the ocean: it's the10th annual Cape Cod Boatbuilders show.

In Orleans, people are thinking about vegetable gardens, with the Winter Farmers' Market.

And on the Vineyard, it’s about forgetting the winter is out there at all, by dancing at The Yard.

Dancers of all types and all ages are going to keep moving Saturday night in Mashpee to raise money for cancer research, at the dance marathon, Dancing for a Cure.

And in keeping with the fight against cancer, CapeWeek has a special interview this week with musician Joey Spampinato.

Steve Junker and Kathi Scrizzi Driscoll discuss upcoming events each Wednesday on All Things Considered. Audio of this week's conversation is posted above - give it a listen.
