There's plenty to do this Independence Day holiday weekend, and celebrations on Tuesday. Here's your Weekend Outlook.

Steve Junker and Kathi Scrizzi Driscoll discuss upcoming events during All Things Considered on WCAI. Here's this week's conversation -- give it a listen.

It’s going to be busy in the Mashpee area this weekend, starting Friday night with one of the biggest community events of the year: the Mashpee Community Picnic.

Just a short way down Route 151 for the rest of the weekend will be the 96th annual Mashpee Wampanoag Powwow.

If part of a long holiday weekend means restless kids, there’s a place on Monday to take them where they can do what parents often tell them not to: get as messy as they want. It's the Mess fest in Brewster.

Looking ahead, next Tuesday is the Fourth of July holiday, and, with just a few exceptions, the town events are waiting until the big day. Here's a listing.

Steve is Managing Editor of News. He came to WCAI in 2007. He also hosts the weekly News Roundup on Friday mornings and produces The Fishing News.
