Vineyard Mentorship Program Aims to Help Teen Immigrants

A new program on Martha's Vineyard aims to help high school students who have recently arrived on the island feel more comfortable in their new surroundings.

The Island Connection mentorship program pairs six students with mentors who immigrated themselves, or who are involved in the island community. Kathryn Eident talked with Martha's Vineyard Public Schools English Language Learning Program Director Leah Palmer to learn more.
