Using Acupuncture to Curb Addiction Cravings

On The Point, we hear about the use of acupuncture to help with recovery from addiction. Recovery Without Walls is an organization that provides free support to women living on Cape Cod following treatment for substance dependency. For the past year, Recovery Without Walls has been using an innovative approach to aiding women to successfully withdraw from substanceabuse and break the opiate craving cycle using acupuncture. Joining our host Mindy Todd in The Point studio are Bill Dougherty, Executive Director of Recovery Without Walls; Angela Tymrak, acupuncturist; and Jane, a client with Recovery Without Walls. They share some of their experiences and offer advice about this growing area of treatment.
