Stories of Early Maritime Travellers Meeting Others

SEA.edu

For three centuries, New Englanders have sailed across the Atlantic, around the great Capes, and into every ocean in search of commerce, whales, and scientific knowledge. Dr. Mary Malloy, Professor of Maritime Studies and Director of the Global Ocean program at the Sea Education Association, talks with Mindy Todd on The Point about the impacts of the earliest voyages on environments and cultures around the globe. She also describes some recent projects and modern day voyages.
