In August of 2005 Hurricane Katrina decimated New Orleans. How would a city with one of the nation’s highest rates of poverty and crime -- that also suffered from deep racial divides -- recover from one of the most devastating disasters in American history? Mindy Todd talks with former New York Times reporter Gary Rivlin who has followed the recovery of the city since the storm. His book is titled Katrina: After the Flood. He’ll be giving a talk at the Wellfleet Congregational Church on Thursday, July 21st at 7pm.
