Poetry Sunday: Donna O'Connell-Gilmore

Donna O'Connell-Gilmore reads her poem, "Giant Steps."

 

 

Former newspaper columnist/birder, Donna O'Connell-Gilmore moved to Cape Cod sixteen years ago and began to seriously write poetry. Donna’s poems have been published in Off the Coast, The Aurorean, The Cape Cod Poetry Review, Prime Time Magazine, Written River, Glassworks Menagerie, Provincetown Magazine. Broadsided Press exhibited her work on Cape Cod buses. Donna recently published her first chapbook, Africa Is The Mother who Lies in the Grass: poems on safari which won an HM award from Writer’s Digest for best self-published poetry collection. She is a regular at poetry open mics on the Cape, and runs a part-time practice of psychotherapy.
