Although there have been advances in medical technology, the demand for organ and tissue donation still vastly exceeds the number of donations. We hear the story of a lifesaving liver transplant and the bond that was formed between the 18-year old donor’s mother and the recipient of his liver. We’ll also talk with the president of the New England Organ Bank about the need for organ donations, and how donors and recipients are matched.
