No Matter Where You Are, There's Probably a Fun Holiday Event Near You This Weekend

Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism
Nantucket rings in the season this weekend with the traditional Holiday Stroll.

Holiday spirit and activities can be found all over Cape Cod and the Islands this weekend.  There are festivals, holiday craft markets, and other events happening in many of the towns and villages. We've got a rundown.

Holly Folly brings three days of revelry to Provincetown, from traditional caroling to the unusual Speedo run down Commercial Street. In Orleans, you can run in a Santa suit. And on Nantucket, you don't have to run at all - just enjoy a Holiday Stroll. Falmouth has its Christmas Parade on Sunday.

You'll find a long, jolly list of weekend holiday events here.

Two non-holiday related and very different cultural events are happening Saturday in Wellfleet: there's poetry with the Friends of the Wellfleet Library, andBrazilian music at Wellfleet Preservation Hall.

Steve Junker and Kathi Scrizzi Driscoll discuss upcoming events every Wednesday on All Things Considered.  Audio of this week's conversation is posted below - give it a listen.

Steve is Managing Editor of News. He came to WCAI in 2007. He also hosts the weekly News Roundup on Friday mornings and produces The Fishing News.
