Nantucket Honors the Battle of Gettysburg, & more: Best Bets for the Weekend

Many fun choices if you're heading out this weekend. The92ndannual MashpeeWampanoagPowwow takes over the Barnstable County Fairgrounds from Friday through Sunday. This week marks the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg, and to highlight Nantucket's connection to the event, the Nantucket Historical Associationis sponsoring daily readings of “The Gettysburg Address” through July 14. Several plays are opening, including two at the CotuitCenter for the Arts: 84, Charing Cross Road, and Fat Ass Cancer Bitch. The Provincteown Theater opens Larry Kramer's “The Normal Heart.” And next week, the Fleet Moves Dance Festival is happening all over Wellfleet, starting Monday and running through Friday, July 12.
