Otters, Part Three

Nocturnal and shy of humans, the river otter is a mystery.  Little is known of their distribution and abundance on the Cape and Islands.  Mindy Todd talks with two wildlife biologists who have set out to learn more about the river otter population on Martha’s Vineyard. What they’ve discovered so far may surprise you, including the story of an eight otter bromance on Chilmark Pond and how far they’ll travel overland to seek food. Guests are Luanne Johnson and Liz Baldwin, wildlife biologists at Biodiversity Works.
