Journalism's Struggle Towards Equal Rights

Lynn Povich, the first woman senior editor at Newsweek, was part of a movement at the magazine to allow women access to jobs traditionally held by men. Steven Shepard is founding dean of the City University of New York's graduate school of journalism and author of the book Deadlines and Disruption: My Turbulent Path From Print to Digital.  They talk to host Sean Corcoran on The Point about social and technological changes in the journalism industry.
