Helping Kids Cope with Anxiety

J. Junker

Dr. Paul Foxman joins Mindy Todd on The Point to talk about anxiety in children: how, when and why it develops.  He describes what parents can do to reduce stress. Anxiety in children diminishes their intellectual, emotional and social development as well as their physical health. Children today are exposed to family and school stress, violence in society and media overload.  Dr. Foxman is the director of the Center for Anxiety in Vermont, and the author of The Worried Child. He will be giving a talk at Friends Academy in Dartmouth on September 15 from 6:30pm - 8:00pm, about reducing stress and anxiety in children.
