Films, Food, Science, and Music—Why Not Enjoy Them All: Best Bets for the Weekend

Chandler Cook / TMVFF.org

There's no such thing as a quiet weekend around the Cape and Islands.  Here are a handful of great choices for getting out, including films, music, food, and even science.

The Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival is back for its 16th year, and it’s got four days of films that were chosen to get people talking. More info.

On Saturday, the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster is celebrating its 10th year of hosting the “Science on the Street” outreach program.

If you feel like you have to head off-Cape for good Jewish food, this Saturday you only have to go as far as Hyannis, because there's a Deli Dance happening.

On Sunday afternoon, there’s a concert in Hyannis that touches on how music is tied into different kinds of arts, as the Cape Cod Concert Band performs a program called "Inspiration Pops."

Steve Junker and Kathi Scrizzi Driscoll discuss upcoming events every Wednesday on All Things Considered. Audio of this week's conversation is posted below - give it a listen.

Steve is Managing Editor of News. He came to WCAI in 2007. He also hosts the weekly News Roundup on Friday mornings and produces The Fishing News.
