Looking to go out this weekend? Here's a round-up of events to check out.
- Heritage Museums & Gardens opens a new exhibit: “Driving Our Dreams: Imagination in Motion.”Come see 15 concept cars: automobiles that reinvented the idea, but were too expensive to actually produce - and one flying car. Also, an auto sculpture and kids activities.
- Provincetown is hosting 2 festivals. CabaretFestbrings in cabaret singers to the Crown & Anchor, and a Chocolate Festival includes tastings, a chocolate scavenger hunt, and the movie “Chocolat.”
- Cape Cod Community College presents 2 shows that mirror each other: Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew,” and the full-length musical based on that play “Kiss Me Kate” – with the same actors playing the mirrored roles in each show. Audience members are encouraged to come in period attire - Shakespearean or Edwardian!
- The CotuitCenter for the Arts offers the area premiere of “Red,” a Tony Award winner for best play, about abstract artist Mark Rothko - and the actors will be painting on the stage.
- Model Boat Show in Woods Hole. Featuring hundred of small-scale boats, the biennial event brings together model boat builders and fans from across New England and beyond.
