Most boats these days are made of fiberglass, but wooden boats have their enthusiasts, and some Chatham organizations are joining together to celebrate them on Saturday.

If you sometimes like to make a meal out of a lot of little tastes of different foods, a Trolley Tour taking place in Yarmouth might be the way to have dinner Saturday night. More info.

Next Wednesday is Veterans Day, and there are a number of observances around the Cape, including one that starts this weekend. More info.

Looking ahead, Harwich Cranberry Arts & Music Festival is holding the second concert in its community series on Monday night. Organizers said it was an easy decision who would perform, once they heard these fiddlers play their Cape Breton music. More info.
