Challanges and Hopes for Living with OCD

The symptoms of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder are alienating, time-consuming, and often cause severe emotional and financial distress. Mindy Todd discusses OCD and approaches to treatment for both juveniles and adults with guests Dr. Kristen Mulcahy and Denise Egan Stack from the Cape and Islands Behavioral Institute.  It’s not uncommon to hear someone refer to himself or herself as OCD - the term has become synonymous with “neat freak” and a code word for someone who is organized or fastidious. But this pop culture image is very different from the real OCD, which is classified as an anxiety disorder. More information can be found also on this site: International OCD Foundation
