Celebrate Spring this Weekend with Daffodils, Oysters, and Migrating Herring

Springtime events fill the weekend calendar. On Nantucket, the 40th Annual Nantucket Daffodil Flower Show highlights Daffodil Festival weekend, which also includes a parade of antique cars and the Daffy Dog Parade - it doesn't get any more traditional! Wareham is holding its first-ever Oyster Festival this weekend, which includes live music, artisans and crafters, paddleboats - and lots and lots of oysters. And there's a 100th birthday party in Cotuit on Sunday for a guest of honor named Magnolia. Who is she? She's a harp with a storied past and a musical pedigree! And Plimoth Plantation hosts a Herring Run festival this weekend, celebrating the springtime migration of alewives through Town Brook. It all starts on Friday evening with a screening of a documentary on herring migration, followed by a panel discussion.
