47 New Bedford High School students have completed an apprenticeship through the New Bedford Whaling Museum, since 2010. The program gives students real world and work experience, and allows them to identify and pursue topics of interest.
On The Point, we talk with Christina Turner, director of apprentices & interns at the New Bedford Whaling Museum, and Chelsea Texiera, an alumni of the program and past apprentice who currently works part time at the New Bedford Whaling Museum (she's a full time student at Bridgewater State University).
